"Support" FAQ

We are having problems connecting the Control Unit to the AquaScan Win PC software. We don't know how to select the Com port.

To connect the Control Unit to AquaScan Win:

  1. Go to our Website (insert new link here) to download the USB drivers for the FTDI Com-cable and install this.
  2. Plug the USB Com-cable to the PC.
  3. Right-click on the Windows-flag in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  4. Select Device manager. Choose Ports. Look for the Com-port number of the USB-serial port.
  5. In AquaScan Win: Choose this Com-port number in the upper left corner.
  6. Open Tools. Make sure the Com setting is set to Low speed. Click OK.
  7. Turn on the Control Unit. It should now connect to AquaScan Win.

Download and install the TeamViewer remote support session. Send us your ID and Password, and we will connect to your PC.

Is it helpful for accuracy of final result to input the accurate average weight?

The input of average weight is used to set some factors to decide if a measurement is noise or fish. As a general rule the given weight should at least be within +/- 25% of the actual weight during calibration.
